Marketing starts with the foundations. As a business owner, do you have a solid base in place? Who are you? What are you about? What do you stand for? What makes you different? Why would people want to come to you, use your service, buy your product, over another? Who is your target audience? Do you have a strong brand? What’s your brand story and do you clearly articulate who you are, what you offer and the benefit for your buyer?

Once you have these foundations in place, then the broader strategy comes into play. Who, when, where, what, why, how?

There’s a lot more to marketing than many think. It’s not just the pretty pictures, the fancy website, or the flashy words.
